Hey everyone,
This is a couple of days overdue, but just wanted to let you all know that the team made it back safely to the Land of the Great White North. Despite the groggy tiredness of the 17 of us (yes, there were 21 to begin with…Karen stayed in Kenya for another week, Ryan and Jenn traveled over to Uganda and Dave came back to Canada a few days early), we were all excited to see our families again as we touched down at YVR.
Our final few days were busy with our last church service in Kisumu, flying back to Nairobi, an amazing meal of meat at the famous Carnivore restaurant, and a five-hour safari at Nairobi National Park. Then began the final leg with over 16 hours of flying: from Nairobi to London, then from London to Vancouver.
We have now recovered (or still are) from the jet lag and remembering an amazing trip in which God stretched us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Thank you to each of you who read this blog, sent your comments, prayed, gave and supported, and loved us through the past year as we prepared, and the past two weeks as we lived out God’s calling. Your support will always be remembered!
